History

The Pfefferlehenhof in Mitterlana is an ancient property mention which can be traced back as far as 1297.

In 1379 a “bonus dictus Pfefferlehen in superior Lanano” is mentioned and in 1489, Wolfgang Pfefferlechner became the head of the Oberlana community.

Since the 18th century, the Pfefferlehenhof which was divided into an outer and an inner area has primarily been owned by the nobility.

In 1895, Josef Haberle of Oberlana bought the Pfefferlechnerhof and married Maria Mettersteiner.

They had six daughters and the second eldest Ida Haberle married Josef Laimer in 1925. Since this date the Pfefferlechnerhof has belonged to the Laimer family.
