House Brewery
House Beer in a wine region?
Well why not – we asked ourselves some time ago.
So a
small house brewery was added to the Pfefferlechner cellar.
Everything was already in place: enough room, a
shady beer garden, an
adventure playground - taking the entertainment load off the backs of those thirsty Dads and an old barn just sat there waiting to be turned into a brewery.
From the very beginning the basic idea was clear: we wanted out guests to take part in the creation of our beer, as in most breweries all you see at the very best is the extraction vat.
Pfefferlechner is different: everything is visible – from the barley in front of the grinder to the storage tanks full of beer. The beer lover can enjoy his/her freshly pulled “Pfeffer” or “Pfeffer Weiße” beer, right in the middle of it all, between the extraction vat, the fermenter and the storage tanks. Quality is the key and in addition to the
strict beer purity regulations the production process is fully overseen by our experienced head brewer.
